COVID-19: Gombe Deports 700 Almajiris To Their States Of Origin

The Gombe State Government has despatched 700 almajiri kids within the city to their states of origin across the 19 Northern states of Nigeria. 

The nation's Commissioner for Education, Dr Habu Dahiru, made this acknowledged in Gombe, the News Agency of Nigeria reports. He said the primary batch of seven-hundred almajiris have been conveyed to their various states within the North in 60 buses accompanied via    protection personnel. 

Dahiru said that the almajiris were also given a covering letter to the Ministry of Education in their respective states. According to him, this selection became informed through the collective settlement of the Northern Governors’ Forum that every one almajiris have to be returned to their home states for better management. He said the seven hundred had been the primary batch, adding that other batches would comply with as a part of measures to curtail the spread of Coronavirus. “We had a meeting with instructors of Islamic Almajiri schools in the nation to allow them recognise why the choice become taken. Primary to tertiary institutions are closed inside the U.S.A. as a part of measures to reduce the unfold of Coronavirus. Almajiri schools cannot be an exception,” Dahiru said.
